What We Do

Explore Pippins is all about bringing the fun of Guiding to your place, so that girls have fun and learn at their pace.

The digital Pippins option is totally flexible. Girls can access Explore Pippins from anywhere in the country, any time, and on any device. They then undertake the activities available – some with adult support, some without – in the ‘real’ world. With Explore Pippins girls will grow their confidence, their abilities, and their sense of adventure, and can do so without having to travel to a Unit meeting!

Like all GirlGuiding NZ programmes, Explore Pippins is girl-led – they choose their own adventure from those offered and, because leaders keep them engaged and encouraged with one-on-one attention, they will begin to learn about the world, and their unique place in it while having fun.

Explore Pippins empowers girls to develop into confident, adventurous leaders by exposing them to activities in STEAM, the outdoors, creative arts and by expanding their understanding of their own community as well as the wider world around them.
